Have a Coke and a High School Scholarship Smile

Through this program students may be eligible to receive one of 250 different coke scholarships that range in value from $10,000 to $20,000. $10,000 awards are issued over a period of four years at $2,500 per year. $20,000 awards are issued over a period of four years at $5,000 per year. These high school scholarships are required to be used at a university or college that is accredited in the United States. This program first began in 1986. Applications become available on August 1st and applications must be submitted by October 31st.

Scholarship for High School Students from the S.E.V.E.N Fund Essay Competition

Students with a strong faith may be eligible to win high school scholarships for college through the S.E.V.E.N Fund Essay Competition. The competition is held in partnership with the Interfaith Action on Global Poverty, based in Washington, D.C. Two students will receive scholarship awards worth $5,000 each through this award program. Applicants are required to submit essays to apply for the competition. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is October 15th.

SPENDonLIFE College Scholarship for High School Students

High school students who have applied for a college loan and who have been rejected due to poor credit may qualify for a SPENDonLIFE scholarship. 10 award winners will receive scholarships ranging in value from $500 to $5,000. The HS scholarship awards can be used toward the cost of full-time tuition. The awards are based on financial need. All applicants must be legal United States residents. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is June 15th.

Big Dig Scholarship

Students with big plans for the future may wish to apply for high school scholarships and grants through this program. The scholarship program is available to high school seniors who will be entering their first year of college. Applicants are required to submit an essay of at least 500 words and no more than 1,000 words. The scholarship is worth $3,000. The deadline to apply for the Big Dig scholarship is April 30th.

Alvin Cox Memorial Scholarship

Students who know precisely what they want to do in the future will definitely want to apply for this high school scholarship. The fund for this scholarship was originally established in 2006. Since that time more than 100 scholarships have been awarded. Last year ten scholarships of $500 each were awarded. In order to apply for this scholarship program applicants must submit an essay not to exceed two pages regarding why they wish to attend college.

Christophers Annual High School Poster Contest

This scholarship program is for high school students in grades 9 through 12. Applicants are required to submit a poster that interprets a designated theme visually. Eight winners will be chosen through the scholarship program. The first prize is worth $1,000 while the second prize is worth $500 and the third prize is worth $250. There are also honorable mention prizes issued worth $100.

Imagine America High School Scholarships and Grants

Students who want to attend college and one day make a difference in America should consider applying for the Imagine America scholarship program. Three graduating students will receive scholarships worth $1,000 each. Applicants should be able to demonstrate financial need as well as volunteer community service during high school. Applicants must also have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Dale E Fridell Memorial Scholarship

To apply for this scholarship applicants must submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words. Scholarship awards are worth $1,000 each. The scholarships are issued directly to students to be used for tuition, living expenses, books, etc. The deadline to apply for these high school scholarships and grants for college students is October 14th.
